Terms of service
The service
MotorQuote UK sends alerts about used vehicles advertised publicly by third parties. We are not the seller, we do not inspect vehicles and we are not a party to any sale. Every decision to view, bid on or buy a car is yours.
Margin estimates and deal badges
Estimated resale values and margins are calculated from recent asking prices of similar vehicles. They are a guide only, not a valuation, and can be wrong. Prep costs, faults, market movement and your own selling ability all change the outcome. Never rely on an estimate instead of inspecting the car and checking it yourself.
MOT and vehicle history
MOT information is shown as published by DVSA. A “mileage warning” means the recorded MOT mileage went down between tests; it is a prompt to check, not proof of fraud. Absence of a warning is not a guarantee that a vehicle is genuine.
Plans and payment
- The free plan may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. We do not refund part months.
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
The Road Ready pack
- The pack is a single payment for a piece of work, not a subscription. There is no renewal and nothing to cancel.
- It runs until the car you buy is on the road. It includes hourly matches inside the budget you set, one vehicle history check, and the steps for drive-away cover, tax and insurance. Extra history checks are charged separately.
- A pack nobody has used for six months is closed for housekeeping. Email us and we will reopen it.
- Once we have started work, which is the first set of matches, the pack is not refundable. If we cannot get a history check to answer, that check is not counted against your pack.
- We do not buy, sell, inspect or deliver cars, and we are not party to any deal you do with a seller.
Insurance and tax
We are not an insurance broker and we are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. We show you comparison sites and providers and you buy your own policy directly from them. We do not obtain quotes on your behalf, we do not complete application forms for you, and nothing we send is advice about which cover to take. We cannot tax a vehicle for you either: the DVLA needs the reference from your own green slip and your own payment. What we do is put the right step in front of you at the right time.
Fair use
One account is for one person or one dealership. Sharing alerts feeds, scraping this site or reselling our alerts is not allowed. We may close accounts that abuse the service.
Availability
We work to keep alerts running around the clock but cannot promise every listing will be found or every alert will arrive on time. Third-party sources can change or go offline without notice.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from a vehicle purchase, a missed listing, an inaccurate estimate or a delayed alert. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
Affiliate links
Some links earn us a commission from the seller or provider at no extra cost to you. This never changes which cars we alert you to or the order we show them in.
